An honest comparison of Newbi and HiHello on price, bookings, selling, WhatsApp, Arabic and NFC cards, using each company's own figures, so you can choose the one that fits.
By Wesley Sing, Founder of Newbi6 min read

HiHello is a polished, well-established digital business card app, used by hundreds of thousands of companies and especially strong in finance, insurance and education. Newbi is newer, and built for a different job. I built Newbi, so keep that in mind. Every HiHello figure below comes from HiHello's own website or App Store listing, checked on 8 October 2026, with links so you can check them.
The short version: HiHello is an excellent way to share who you are, especially for teams. Newbi is built for owner-run businesses whose card also has to take bookings, show what they sell and work on WhatsApp.

Where HiHello is the better choice
If you want a free card, or several. HiHello's free plan includes four cards, wallet passes, an email signature and virtual backgrounds. It is one of the most generous free plans in the category. Newbi has no free plan.
If you need a low-cost card for introductions only. HiHello's Professional plan costs less than Newbi's Pro. If your card only has to share your details, that is money saved.
If you equip a team. HiHello's Business plan, from five users at $5 per user per month billed yearly, adds team management, CRM integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics, and team analytics. Newbi does not have team administration.
If you live on video calls. Email signatures and virtual backgrounds come with every HiHello plan. Newbi has a simpler version of each: a signature you copy from the Share tab and a meeting background with your QR code.
Where Newbi is the better choice
If clients book you. On Newbi's Pro plan, bookings are built into the card. A client picks a service and a free time, gets a confirmation with a calendar invite and a link to cancel or reschedule, and you both get a reminder in the 24 hours before. HiHello's FAQ describes adding a link to a scheduling tool such as Calendly, which is a separate product, often with its own subscription.
If you sell products or packages. A Newbi Pro card can show up to ten products with photos, prices and variants, plus packages with prices, so a customer sees exactly what you offer. HiHello's pages describe links and payment apps, not a product catalogue.
If customers message you on WhatsApp. HiHello lets you send your card over WhatsApp. Newbi puts a WhatsApp button on the card itself, so anyone who opens it can start a chat with you in one tap. In South Africa and the UAE, that is how most customers get in touch.
If you collect enquiries on a small budget. Every Newbi card, on every plan, has a form where visitors leave their details, which arrive in your leads inbox and can be exported to a spreadsheet. On HiHello, a custom lead capture form is part of the Business plan.
If you work in Arabic. Every Newbi card can be shown in Arabic, laid out right to left. HiHello's app is available in English, French and Spanish.
If you want an NFC card in South Africa. Newbi sells NFC cards in rand, from R550, already linked to your card. HiHello works with NFC cards but does not sell them.
What each costs
On its website, HiHello's Professional plan costs $6 a month billed yearly, or $8 billed monthly. Its App Store listing shows different prices for the in-app plans. Business costs $5 per user per month billed yearly, from five users. (pricing, App Store)
Newbi's plans are:
- Newbie: one card, $5 a month (R79, AED 19, £4).
- Pro: three cards, bookings, a shop with up to ten products, and wallet passes. $12 a month (R189, AED 45, £9).
- Professional: ten cards, up to 100 products, leads sent to your CRM, a custom domain and priority support. $25 a month (R399, AED 92, £19).
Yearly plans cost the price of ten months, and you can try Pro free for 14 days.
The verdict
Choose HiHello if you want a generous free card, or a low-cost way for a team to share their details with email signatures and CRM sync.
Choose Newbi if you run your own business and want your card to take bookings, show what you sell, collect enquiries and open a WhatsApp chat, priced in your currency and available in Arabic.
You can try Newbi's Pro plan free for 14 days, and see made-up example cards for a dental clinic, a fitness coach and a wedding planner.
HiHello's prices and features were taken from hihello.com and its App Store listing on 8 October 2026 and may have changed since. "Not stated" means we could not find the feature on HiHello's own pages, not that it definitely does not exist.
